Abruzzo is on the Adriatic coast and has miles of safe, clean sandy beaches, many of which have been awarded the 'Blue Flag'.
The nearest beach resort to Villa Mandorla is Roseto degli Abruzzi, which is just a 55 minute drive away and is where all these photos were taken. It has a wide, beautifully paved beachside promenade, planted with luxuriant Mediterranean trees and shrubs, such as oleander, palms and pines.

Roseto degli Abruzzi is less than an hour from Villa Mandorla.
The beaches are lined with rows of colourful umbrellas and there are plenty of beachside resturants, cafés and bars. These photos were taken in Roseto degli Abruzzi in June. The beaches will be much busier in July and especially August when the Italians have their holiday period.
