The villa is an easy drive from the Adriatic coast with its miles of golden sandy beaches and lively resorts.
This idyllic photo was taken in June at our nearest beach resort of Roseto degli Abruzzi, which is less than an hour's drive away. Despite the brilliant blue skies, warm sun and beautiful clean, turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea, there were no crowds!
The coast is lined with palm trees, pines and fragrant shrubs, as well as cafés, restaurants and beach bars.

Abruzzo has miles of golden sandy beaches.
Campo Imperatore is an impressive mountain plain.
Abruzzo landscapes are out of this world and the area is a paradise for nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, photographers and artists.
This photo shows part of Campo Imperatore, a spectacular high mountain plain, which is covered in wild flowers in Spring and Summer.
It has a ski resort and is the centre for many walking routes, including the route to the top of the Corno Grande at 2,912 metres!
Villa Mandorla is just a short drive away from this area.
Abruzzo is rich in history and tradition and is dotted with beautiful medieval towns and villages perched on hilltops.
This photo is of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, which is said to be one of the most picturesque villages in the whole of Italy.
This can be part of a day's tour from Villa Mandorla, taking in Castel del Monte, Santo Stefano, Rocca Calascio and Campo Imperatore.

Summers are hot and sunny, and you can relax around the private pool at Villa Mandorla or sunbathe with views of the mountains on the panoramic terrace. There is also a very private 'sun trap' area if you want an all-over tan!
Even an occasional rain shower can add something extra to your holiday, so keep your camera handy at all times! This gorgeous photo of an intense rainbow was taken from the front balcony of the villa after a short rain shower.
The sunsets and dawns in Abruzzo will take your breath away!
So get up early in the morning to enjoy the view of the sun glinting on the Adriatic Sea as it rises. Have a morning cup of espresso on the front balcony or the terrace.
Then stay up in the evening to sit on the panoramic terrace with a G and T and watch the sun set behind the mountains.
That's what life's about!
