Nature Reserve of Castel Cerreto

A small but beautiful wooded reserve with disabled access on the hills in the borough of Penna S. Andrea.

    Regional Nature Reserve of Serranella Lake

    Regional Nature Reserve of Penne Lake

    150 hectares. An artificial lake formed by the creation of a dam. Includes a nature trail, shelter for wounded animals, botanical garden and a centre for otter breeding. 160 bird species have been reported, including 31 nesting at the site.

    Regional Nature Reserve of Zompo lo Schioppo

    Includes the highest natural waterfall of the Apennines. Located in the Monti Cantari at the foot of extensive beech woods in the borough of Morino there are many wild orchids to be found including the rare Spitzel orchid and the pale orchid.
